We have never been here before, but we will certainly be returning. The dinner was outstanding. It took an hour to arrive from ordering, but it was well worth the wait. Compliments to the chief.
The ladies who were working there on the sunday, were so polite, smiley, and welcoming.

We had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the food very much. There was a slight variation in the quality of the service offered by the different staff members, as one of our orders was forgotten by a younger man who perhaps was new to the role? The Italian gentleman and both ladies that served us were brilliant and we would certainly return!

Service poor. Drinks spilled all over me. Waitress failed to return with napkins to mop up for 30 mins. It was cold I was wet!

We had a great stay! We did have to wait a while for the food but it was delicious and worth the wait. Some of the bar staff must have been very new and inexperienced as they didn't seem to know what certain drinks were and served a white wine spritzer in a pint glass. That said, they were very nice and it made for an interesting evening, a little training would benefit. Rooms were lovely and overall we really enjoyed our stay and would visit again, beautiful village.

Really enjoyable visit with my Wife for a Valentine’s meal. Food was excellent, hot & very tasty, we both had 3 courses and every course was without fault. There was a wait between courses, but the standard of our meals meant it was worth the slightly long wait. Lovely building and restaurant, it could have been warmer in there but that’s personal preferences. All the staff were attentive, friendly & welcoming and we’ll certainly be back !

The upstairs restaurant was a bit too bright and it was cold so it wasn’t a comfortable warm environment. However after moving to another table by the bar area where it was warmer and candlelit we felt the ambiance was just the way we like it and we were able to take our coats off

The view from the dining room looked over tables and chairs on a patio area that was covered with weeds and seemed uncared for.
Unfortunately they ran out of horseradish sauce again.
These issues are not the end of the world but are noticeable in the context of the outing, having said that we were very pleased with all aspects of the Coach and Horses and would strongly recommend this establishment to friends and family.

After one of our party reading all the negative feedback we were pleasantly surprised to have some lovely food, fabulous service a very nice gentleman and young lady serving us and a wonderful evening. Didn't have my choice of soft drink and the coffee machine wasn't working so that is a negative, however turning it round had a massive pot of fresh tea and my friend a lovely pot of fresh coffee so that actually worked better!

We had been recommended to go here and managed to get a table on the Bank Holiday Monday under the Gov Eat out to help out. Despite this great offer the prices were good value even at the usual price and the food was lovely. Our waitress was very attentive. Cracking food unbelievable food my hat goes off to the chef!
Staff were okay pub wasn’t to busy but little attention to details wouldn’t of hurt (sticky tables; clearing the tables), bar presence was really good there was always someone there smiling.
Just a suggestion if people put notes on their booking please try and make an effort to make their experience a bit better we came for our wedding anniversary and we didn’t have a small happy anniversary or anything.

As a coeliac I am very impressed by the quality ; value and choice of a la carte available. We have had a very attentive , smart manager / waiter who has looked after our table on two occasions , this is only a restaurant that can improve as they are still working on some of the outdoor seating but plenty of very pleasant areas to sit indoors or outdoors . The village is an idyllic setting with beautiful pub at end of pretty quiet street . Lots going for this very promising pub/ restaurant as we come out of COVID . This area is very limited for a higher standard restaurant for coeliacs so delightful find

Gardens were lovely overlooking the nearby fields, some light background music would be nice from a playlist/speakers (appreciate you may not be able to do this at the mo!)
Pleasant staff, only saying 7 as waited 25 mins for 1 cocktail despite told it was on its way - I’m sure this will improve once you can serve more normally from the 17th.
More guidance on how to use the app for less techy guests needed.

We are 6 people. The tri- sliders were nice as were fish and chips. The pasta was a bit too rich and cloying. The setting was sunny with ice views. Nice venue. Pleasant dining experience. I would suggest that a little thought is given to the dessert portion sizes. As advised by your excellent manager, the profiter rolls was indeed enough for two, but my wife's creme caramel was very small. It is not as if it is an expensive dessert to make. Seemed to be short staffed as wee waited over an hour for food but the waitress was brilliant. Was a little noisy due to a large table near us with lots of young children running around but the food was amazing and worth the wait.

The food was fantastic and when a small problem regarding the portion on one serving, it what rectified without any discussion and very much appreciated.
The only complaint I would have, is the temperature- the heating was clearly not on and when the kitchen door was opened the eating area became very cold. It was a shame the log burners had not been lit on a cold, wet, winter evening.

Great service, brilliant waitress. It’s a cosy pub but not much ambience on our visit as it was pretty empty. That’s Covid I guess. Food is ok but the simple menu could do with a bit more flavour/interest.

Service was polite, but very slow. We were the only people in the restaurant (not sure who else was also eating in the pub though) and the time taken to bring over food was slow. When it came it was okay - although burger bun and chorizo were burnt. Still edible, but not as good as we have had here before. We were there to catch up after 18 months - so we weren't too bothered about being rushed - but this was slow

Seared on a table far too small for 2 people tucked in a corner!
Food overall was good but pork lacked flavour - fab gravy and veg with amazing Yorkshires compensated
No wine list - could be on a wall board if hand held is difficult
Had to ask for cutlery whilst food cooling on table
Good to have the old place back, overall a pleasant experience and I will be back.

We were celebrating a special night and sadly were very disappointed with 2 meals. The Beef Wellington meat wasn’t very nice and There was more pate than meat. I had Pork belly which was advertised as ‘crispy’ pork bell served with baby roast potatoes. The rind was chewy not crispy I couldn’t cut it and it was served with boiled new potatoes. I don’t eat these and told the waitress who responded by saying she would tell the cook! The meal came to £142 (minus eat out offer). Therefore felt that £122 was a lot of money for an average meal. Sadly this has put me off from returning. Sorry !

Long time to be asked if we wanted to put in our food order, but the waitress made up for it with a free drink, which was lovely. The restaurant was very loud and we couldn’t hear what the other people on our table were saying. Perhaps the tables need to be rearranged

Very pleasant staff but clearly under a lot of pressure due to volume of customers taking advantage of the government help to eat scheme. 45 mins per course wait is way too long. Suggest the covers reduced to allow for better services. I have based the 'value score' had i paid full price.

Very welcoming staff. Far to much food. We found the prawn cocktail very dry and far to many prawns, the 3 large prawns with sauce would have been enough. I had the fishcakes which were lovely, but one fishcake would have been plenty. The deserts again very nice but big enough for 2.
Cut the portion size back, the value would still be fine.
Nice to see you back open again, its a lovely place to catch up with friends and family.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience served promptly and food quality was exceptional. The only reason why I didn’t give it top score was when an adjoining table was vacated the cleansing materials used by staff to clean the table had a horrible smell and quite off putting whilst eating your meal. Apart from that would certainly have meal there again.
