Dined at Top of the Rock for my birthday with a group of nine friends. Our server did his best to make the experience enjoyable but other aspects of the meal failed. First, when making reservations, the manager called and said that there would be a $150 per person surcharge if we wanted a window-side table with a view of the city. Next, none of our meals were served hot or warm, most were luke warm and two were cold. My guests attempted to return their meals for reheating and this took approximately 15 minutes so when they were returned to the table, most of us were done or nearly done eating. My guest brought this to the attention of our server, one our server was visible, and the server alerted the manager. She was rude and condescending but did remove the price of the two entrees from the bill. While the experience is outstanding for a small party, I do not recommend dining at this restaurant with a group larger than say 6 people as they cannot handle more than 6 guests at a table.
