Our family members & friends gathered at your wonderful restaurant to celebrate a special birthday for my wife, their mother, Grammy & friend. The delightful sizzles & aromas and beautifully unique presentations of our various dinner plates - Pulled Pork Wellington, Scallop Piccata, Smothered Chicken, Louisiana Linguini - and of course the tasty desert Chocolate Chip Skillet - equaled an evening of scrumptiousness with ten beaming smiles.

Nice experience. However we had requested a 5:30 seating on your website when making Rez, however told it wasn’t available so we went to 5:15. There were a max of 5 tables being used after 5:30. No one else was seated when we arrived. Many many open tables after we were finished. Didn’t make any sense and was actually quite disappointing we couldn’t have the 5:30

The pasta was a little salty at certain areas.
Crab cakes were good, but not the best I have had.
I have been wanting to have dinner here and finally made it. Had reservations last year and had to cancel due to COVID-19.

Chef Lance's on Phillips is the perfect dining experience!
Our server, Jacob, was a consummate professional. He knew when to approach the table and when not to. More importantly, his recommendations for our meal were spot on.
Salads: My wife enjoyed the Wedge Salad and I enjoyed the Caesar Salad with Salmon. My wife's salad was the perfect portion size. My Caesar salad had an excellent in-house dressing which, by adding salmon, made it one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had.
My wife had the Smothered Chicken for the main entree. She was effuse in her praise of the dish, it being the perfect portion size - not too much, and not too little. I, for the first time in my life, experienced the Beef Wellington, which was accented with a red wine demiglaze, asparagus, mushroom puree in the pastry, and Yukon Gold potatoes. Again, the portion size was perfect. The beef tenderloin melted in my mouth, the pastry was flaky and delicious without being heavy or soggy. The potatoes and asparagus were prepared to perfection.
Lastly, the atmosphere. Chef Lance's occupies a large, well-ventilated area in the Falls Center building. Despite the size of the room, the team at Chef Lance's has created a very intimate, warm, and, above all, QUIET ambiance that only enhances the experience of fine dining at this, one of Sioux Falls's best dining establishments.
Thank you to Chef Lance and his team for making our 32nd wedding anniversary a night to remember. I cannot sing the praises of this restaurant enough. It is a must-visit if you are in Sioux Falls and desire a fine dining experience.

This dinner was a lovely experience all around! This was our first time here and can see why friends highly recommend. We all had salmon and were impressed with the flavor and presentation. The cheesecake was good, however the peaches were canned and fresh simply cannot be beat. My only rec would be to source only seasonal if possible.

As always, everything was excellent. One couple with us has been there before and they were very happy with their meals this time as they were the first time. The other 2 people in our party were first-timers! They were both very impressed with everything but especially their meals. One of them travels a lot for her job and said Chef Lance's is as good or better than any of the places she's been to in Lincoln, Chicago, Kansas City, Austin and Tampa Bay. I know she'll be back for sure as will we.

We had happened upon Chef Lance a couple of years ago when we were walking in the Falls Park, and thought we would try it, but had forgotten about it until we were looking for a place to dine last night. It was a great experience and we expect to go there quite often.

Chef Lance’s has become one of our favorite (if not THE favorite) places to eat in Sioux Falls. Their menu is diverse and has something for everyone, and their seasonal menus and wine pairing dinners are fantastic.

Caesar salad was amazingly fresh and light. Love the dressing, tomatoes, & shaved Parmesan. We both had beef for our entrees and it was very tender, perfectly done. The anniversary signs are a really nice touch. Thanks!

We had early reservations because the place is very popular. We had a very nice (nearly 3 hour) dinner. We were not rushed. We (4) all had different menu items, and there was not one who felt their meal was anything but excellent. The wine list is the only complaint. There certainly could be a wine list that would compliment the fabulous dining experience (needs serious upgrade). Otherwise, 5 star experience!

Excellent food, staff, and ambiance. We would recommend for anyone staying in Sioux Falls though I was a little disappointed they only had wine and beer and not a full bar for my martini.
