We have so far managed to supply top tier butchers only meats and keep our pricing low coming in to our third year thanks to continued support from our repeat customers. 68% of new customers rebook on the day, we are grateful for this and thank you for your business. We are not on any discount websites, as we do not over charge in the first place, although we do occasionally run loyalty schemes on food and drink.
Please note, week days the carvery is closed & replenished between 3 & 5pm, however we can keep it on for large groups and can also plate one up for you by request. Mains & specials are served all day, cooked breakfasts mon to sat 9-12
Our booking system will always allow bookings, so we can try to juggle and squeeze everyone in, however when we are fully booked and have no other option, we will call you prior to let you know and offer a later slot. We would always advise to book at least a week in advance, thanks
On Sundays, Tables less than 10 people have 1.5 hours, over 10 is 2 hours. This is to enable our booking system. We serve carvery and mains 7 days until 7:30pm, so bookings after 2pm are usually more available, we do also offer walk in takeaways at the same price, and we are on just eat, deliveroo & uber eats**
We are Dog friendly in the bar lounge where you can also eat, disabled toilet and baby change, free on site parking, Air conditioning & WiFi

My husband had the carvery which is always excellent for a change I had cheese, ham and onion omelette unfortunately there was hardly any filling in it especially the ham was quite disappointing

This is the third time we've visited The Badminton Arms within the last 2 months for a Sunday Carvery and once again we weren't disappointed.
The food was hot, there was a good range of vegetables, both the Lamb and the Beef were tender and tasted amazing. Will definitely be returning soon.

Booked for a 5pm sitting on a Sunday. We had two carvery's which I must say was probably the best carvery we have had. Good choice of three meats with trimmings, excellent choice of piping hot veg and gravy. The staff were attentive and polite, to be honest you could not ask for anything better. Well done the whole team, in front and behind the scenes.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. We have always had a nice meal there it never let us down.
Good value for money.
The only comment I would make is that the back ground temperature could be a bit warmer. But this didn’t spoil the experience.

Everything was excellent apart from the wait in the carvery queue. After quite some time we were told they were waiting for more meat. This was fine apart from having to stand and watch the rest of the food being served up for takeaway meals. Once the meat had arrived there wasn’t a lot of the rest left, especially for the queue that had formed.

Excellent customer service from all the team & the food was well cooked & presented vrry hot unusual these dsys in a lot of eateries a few water leaks from the ceiling meant we had to sit in area that was very hot next to the Carvery area good selection of beers at reasonable prices overall despite the water leaks we had a very good experience but one constructive criticism there was a cooler brighter area that was near the bar & pool table area that could have been nice to use for our meal as it was a birthday celebration on this occasion ie an exception to the rule one off ie only seeing as a big area of the restaurant was off due to the water leaks.
Thanks to all the team once again for there excellent service & smiles during our visit.

Carvery frozen sprouts over cooked mushy wet, roasters off white. Carrots ok peas ok gravy nice, Yorkshire puddings over cooked dark brown, food luke warm, 2 stars was for the beef lovely, desert Victoria sponge server warm (yuk) Butter ice melted really not good why on earth would somebody serve warm Victoria sponge. Stay away from this place

The meat (beef) was outstanding and the star of the show! Nice to have lamb as an option too which was very tasty. The gravy was great and piping hot. Veg was varied, only slight negative was the roast potatoes - think they may be frozen. Apart from that a great carvery with exceptional value for money. Will definitely be booking again.

We came here for my dad’s birthday meal. The food roast was lovely. Only downfall was the ham and cheese sandwich was so thin wasn’t really a sandwich. The burger was unfortunately very dry and one of the party couldn’t eat much of it. The place over all was lovely. Staff very young and seem to lack in confidence taking orders. Few times the young girl had to come back and double check items. Everyone has to learn though so wouldn’t stop us coming back. Overall lovely place meat for roast was very nice and great portions too.

Hi, we're glad you enjoyed the food and service, re our sandwiches we use normal sandwhich bread but also we offer ciabatta which obviously is a lot thicker if you prefer, also we do only use butchers burgers which are flame grilled, we are able to offer a variety of sauces if you prefer, also we would have been more than happy to redo or offer an alternative. there is normally at least one member of staff training on any given Sunday so like you said she is still learning and probably wasn't aware of all the options yet, I'm sure she will be up to speed on your next visit! The carvery is always very nice but unfortunately this time we found the vegetables very hard to eat it seemed as if they had not been cooked long enough, the rest of the carvery was very nice, we had desserts my husband had apple pie with custard didn't think that this was value for money as very small and the custard came in a pot that was smaller than a egg cup so probably would not have desserts again

We had a nice time but not much vegan food offered so my friend could only have veg/potatoes/gravy.
No sweet option for her either.
Service was nice but girls seem confused over diet issues on the menu plus at one point we had to ask if we could order as other tables who came in after us got served 1st.
Perhaps different diet options menues would be more helpful for staff/customers.
The gf carrot cake was great for me.
My other friend's apple pie was bit soggy not crispy.
Carvey was nice and a good selection.

The food was really good but where we were sitting was rather chilly. We asked could the nearby fire be turned on but were told it didn't work.

Hi louise, we're glad you enjoyed the food! It was a very cold weekend, the small fires do work they're just not efficient. The heating was on all day along with the electric heating but people in the middle section complained it was too hot so we just leave the central heating on, the lower section always is colder then middle, in future just ask for middle section a week before hand and we can put you there no problem. We obviously can't clean these areas whilst open aside from a sweep and table wipe downs. If you book for 12pm in future when we just open, that's when it's at its tidiest. New staff a little unsure how to inform guests that tokens are now provided to exchange for meal.
Table cleared whilst guests still eating.
Turkey very crumbly, no slices when we choose our meals.
Veg lovely, a bit more cheese on the cauliflower needed!!
Overall we enjoyed and will return when I'm sure new staff will be more confident.

The carver was also new so still learning with the cuts, it's always a bit bumpy whilst training, but he will get there. We don't go anywhere else for a carvery as we thoroughly enjoy the meal at the Badminton Arms the only negative feedback we can give is a few of the waitresses are extremely miserable and not very curtious sometimes hardly speak at all especially when taking payment

Table booked for 5pm. Very disappointed they had run out of beef and lamb. Only turkey or gammon on offer.

Hi Wendy, yes unfortunately we served in excess of 500 people that Sunday it was very busy, and of course due to waste, we don't over cook meats so we ran short that day towards the end. Impressed with the food. Excellent lamb and vegetables cooked perfectly (in my opinion). Our table was a bit cramped. Needed a bit more space around the table. Biggest problem was the long queue caused by priority being given to takeaway orders!

Carvery meat was lovely and cooked very well. Veg options were plentiful however the only thing that let it down in my opinion was frozen roast potatoes! Was the same last time we visited aswell so for this reason, I've marked it down a little. Overall though not bad for the money.

However, your opinion on the potatoes is incorrect, We're more than happy to show you an uncooked one in person, they are cooked strait from fresh and take exactly 16 minutes a tray. The sheer amount we get through in one sitting (almost 100kg) it wouldn't actually be possible from frozen. We had to move tables three times as the first two we were seated at were dirty. We had a table booked for 12pm when the pub opened and many tables were covered in a brown grease, food on the seats and napkins on the floor from the night before. We were then told that those tables had not been cleaned yet, but we were asked to sit there?! There didn't seem to be anyone in charge, the Sunday lunch service was run by very young girls, no disrespect to them, but they needed more direction and better cleaning skills. The food was good, but wasn't the relaxed lunch we were hoping for.

Got seated and took a fair while for anyone to come and take drinks/food order. Once we had a ticket for the carvery, the queue was lengthy and moved slowly.
Food was lovely and once we returned to the table, the drinks had been delivered. Sadly we were seated in the back area, even though I had asked for a front table. This area is cramped and loud and as we were seated right by the stairs this meant people were constantly going past and a few bumping into me whilst trying to eat. I wouldnt return unless I could sit somewhere else. Great food but bad seating

We were aware when we booked that there was an additional charge to the carvery as you offer lamb as one of the meat options on a Sunday. On your menu it stated if lamb was not available, it would be substituted with Gammon.
We were therefore very disappointed when we found out that neither the lamb or gammon were available.
We feel that if you offer the carvery option until close of restaurant, you should ensure that what is stated on your menu is fulfilled.

Hi, yes lamb was available, however, this sells out extremely fast, normally by 2pm, gammon was also available after pork, we offer all the meats we list, we are unable to control how quick they sell out as it's our customers personal preference on the day, as the meats are cooked for 12 hours in advance, and having limited oven space, we can't cook all the meats all the time on demand unfortunately. However, whilst booking if you prefer a certain meat we can always hold some back for you if your booking is later on in the day, thanks- Overall: 7/10

The meal was very good (Carvery), great to have sprouts cooked well not hard meat very tender. Surprised nobody checked if we required more drinks or fancied desserts. We left without ordering either and didn't leave a tip as service was not really of the calibre expected. However everyone enjoyed what they had and I would return again in the hope that these defects improve after this feedback.
