Directions

Recipe

Cook bacon in a medium size sautee pan until meat is crisp.  Set aside and drain.

Using the same pan, add butter and oil to heat slowly.  Add the diced onion, celery and pepper mixture with kosher salt and chopped garlic until fragrant.

Next, raise heat to high and add Marsala wine.  Let pan contents simmer and reduce for 8 minutes before stirring in bacon.  Take off heat.

Prepare the clams by shucking.  Next, distribute the pan contents in the clams, overstuffing each one by 1/2 an inch.  

For approximately 10 minutes, bake at 500°F until the clams are cooked thoroughly.  Stuffing should have turned a deep golden brown.
